The rolling hills and a winding country
road along stone fences lead to an
antebellum gem. Leave your worries
behind and follow your heart to a very
special place in the country located 11
miles east of Lebanon, Tennessee. From
the moment you walk onto the impressive
veranda, you will feel the gracious
southern hospitality.
The home of nationally known artist-
designer
Emily Steinberg
and husband,
Harold Cash, is a wonderful special event
destination and gracious retreat. It is
also a successful business venture that
encompasses a
Gift Shop & Dining
in the
downstairs main house. Each room is
utilized for dining with unique table
settings and festive seasonal centerpieces.
Many of Emily's art designs decorate
items for sale along with a treasure of
seasonal and home d้cor items,
wonderfully scented candles, a specialty
clothing line of jackets/aprons, and
delicious gourmet food products.
Located at the end of the drive is the
White Barn Studio. C
raft workshops and
meetings are held there. As you walk
from the main house to the studio, you
may also glimpse the grazing goats
behind the barn and be greeted by the
friendly roosters, chickens, guineas, cats,
and especially Great Pyrenees dogs.
We're easy to find: Conveniently located just 4

The Wm. Washington Seay House
Listed on the National Historic Register
The historic homestead built between
1835-1845 offers the ambiance of an
earlier time. Remarkable stone masonry
are displayed in the gigantic chimneys,
porch steps and foundation. Original
faux-grain painting is also evident on
much of the upstairs windows and doors.
This too displays artistic craftsmanship
of a bygone era. This grand house was
built as an exact replica of a Louisiana
plantation home visited and admired
by Seay on visits to New Orleans.
Frequent trips were made to that area
by riverboat to sell the tobacco grown
on the plantation. Artifacts found under
the Summer Kitchen possibly reflect
these visits to that area - whale rib-
bone and harpoon. Don't miss the
opportunity to visit: Autumn Harvest
